Mentor Resource: Co-Created Guides for Autistic Mentors
Our Mentor Resource is a unique, organic and ever-evolving guide that was initially co-designed with Occupational Therapists and has, over time, grown into a resource built entirely by our Autistic mentors. Drawing on their experience as paid mentors, it offers practical insights, strategies and inspiration for both current and future mentors, supporting Autistic advocacy and helping ensure the longevity of our programs.
The resource is now embedded in a regular round table meeting, guided by an experienced Autistic adult, ensuring it remains dynamic, peer-led and grounded in lived experience. It is designed to help mentors help themselves and others, providing a supportive framework that reflects real-world mentoring, encourages collaboration and keeps ourprograms strength-based, inclusive and genuinely Autistic-led, while nurturing the next generation of Autistic leaders.
